| Our Local Chapters |
With 18 local chapters geographically dispersed throughout Florida, the Florida Trail Association offers the opportunity for you to meet like-minded hikers in your own backyard! Local chapters publish their own newsletters; present educational seminars open to the public; lead activities such as hikes, backpacking trips, kayaking, and geocaching; and build and maintain the Florida Trail and other local trails within their regions.

| The mission of the Florida Trail Association is to develop, maintain, promote, and protect a continuous public hiking trail the length of the state of Florida, called the Florida National Scenic Trail, and other loop and side trails, together called the Florida Trail System; and to educate the public by teaching appreciation for and conservation of the natural beauty of Florida; and to provide opportunities to hike and camp. |
